St. Louis Zoo

The other day, my friend Ann, and I, took a trip to the zoo!

We wanted to play with our cameras a little bit, and the zoo is always a fun place to do that. (Of course, I've forgotten pretty much everything that we learned last year in our photography class, so, my camera pretty much stayed on the evil green box the whole time! GASP! SHUDDER!)

HEY! Don't judge me! At least I used manual focus! Which is why some of my pictures are blurry. LOL!

But, that counts for something! Right?

**Crickets chirping**

Anyway, moving on!

My absolute FAVORITE animals at the zoo, are the "big kitties."

I LOVE them! I want to hop into the cage, and cuddle with them.

I want to scratch behind their ears. (See! This one needs a little scratch!)

I want run my fingers through their manes.

And, give them raspberries on their tummies!

Even though, they would probably like to eat me for lunch, and are totally bored by my presence!

I cannot help it! I'm infatuated!

This guy stole my heart! And, I wanted to give him a big ole' nose rub!!

I would have spent the whole time in this area, but the cats had full bellies, and the sun was heating up, so they all found cool, shady spots, and decided it was nap time!

So, we wandered off to see what else we could snap pictures of.

I switched to shooting the trees, and flowers, because they were so pretty.

And, then we ended up in my second favorite place! The butterfly house!

WARNING! Picture overload! Proceed with awe, and amazement!

But, PLEASE don't touch the butterflies!

It's such a shame, that something so beautiful, only lives such a short time.

But, don't worry! They are definitely enjoying that time! And, obviously, there will be more butterflies to see the next time we visit!

Move along kids!

Move along!

There's nothing here to see!!!

Wow, awesome pictures kathy! I am soooo jealous! Wish I could quit work and go out on adventures like these every now and then! I need a pal to buddy up with and do it! Steve is too impatient to wait around for me to get the pictures I want. I really want to get to the Botanical Gardens while the tulips are blooming but I don't see it in the near future.
